Arnold D. Lagergren, former CEO at Dimension Technology Inc (the company that preceded New 3D) passed away on October 8, 2021. Arnie was one of two original founders of the company, along with Jesse Eichenlaub. Arnie saw the potential of this technology when it was new and was the catalyst for the company’s long life, serving as the CEO for over 30 years. He retired in 2019. Arnie was skilled at leading teams through technology development projects and keeping the company on track through both good and difficult times. He was successful in raising funds from investors as well as by arranging contracts with government and corporate clients. Arnold made sure that the technology was recognized for its revolutionary nature as DTI received publicity and multiple awards from government agencies and organizations that realized the need for high quality 3D. Arnold received wide recognition for his work at DTI including The Entrepreneur of the Year award in Rochester, NY in 1993. Arnie was an avid Buffalo Bills fan since the team was founded in 1960. He enjoyed sailing and outdoor activities in the Adirondacks with his wife and sons. He was active in his church, Good Shepard of Webster, since the 1980s. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Maryann and is survived by his four sons, several grandchildren, and his sister A celebratory service commemorating his life will be held an undetermined date in the spring.
